Despite being known as a Christian dominated region, Islam seems to be gradually getting its presence in Igbo land, Southeast of Nigeria.
With many Christians converted to Islam in Enugu and Ebonyi States. The new converts changed their names from the Christianized names to Muslim names.

In a Facebook post, shared by a user, Muhammad Kabir Orjiegbulam, two Igbo Christians joined Islam in Enugu State.
The new converts, a man and a woman, who were previously known as Chizoba and Chidera changed their names to Musa and Adina
According to Muhammad Kabir Orjiegbulam, the conversation took place at Central Mosque in Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo-Eze South Local Government of the state on Friday, January 28.
