Lawyers in Anambra, under the aegis of Committee of Chairmen and Secretaries of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), earlier today, protested over rising insecurity in the state.
This is even as legal practitioners announced that they will stay away from courts in the state between March 22 and March 24.
The lawyers said the boycott was to mourn their colleague, Frank Onwuachi, who was killed by kidnappers.
They also lamented that no one is safe in Anambra state, given the spate of killings.
The boycott notice was signed by Onyechi Ononye and Ekene Okonkwo.
“Chairmen of Bar branches in Anambra are requested to sensitise their members and various court heads to ensure compliance with the above directives,” the notice read.
