PHOTO NEWS: Filled Ifeobara basin Sacks residents at Ukwu-Mango Aba

Storm waters from the Ifeobara basin in Ukwu-Mango Aba has sacked residents  from their respective homes as many were seen scooping water out of their homes.

Pictures below showed that the whole place is flooded and the Ifeobara basin is filled up with storm water from Ariaria.

Abacityblog correspondent who visited the area saw that, the Ifeobara basin, an underground drainage which was meant to be pumping stormy water from Ifeobara to Waterside has been taken over by the green weed.

Although, the Abia State Government has in different occasion described how the project has reduced flooding around the area, but fact-check proved that it’s no longer pumping any storm water from Ifeobara to Waterside as they claimed, rather, it culminate storm water and dislodge it to the area which caused flooding.
