A renowned cleric and minister in charge of Shalom Baptist Church, Pipeline Road Ekpan, near Warri, Delta State, PST. Opate Bright says parents have failed woefully in tackling various social vices surrounding the negative activities youths exhibit in the country.
PST. Bright made the declaration Sunday June 6, during Youth week Discussion forum titled “Reality of Youth Life” he noted that pastors and other Men of God have consistently done a lot in counselling young people against getting involved in inimical affiliation that can truncate their shinning future.
He pointed out that due to parental failure pastors are handling and casting out ‘heavy demons’ out from youths because of parents lack of monitoring of their children at their homes making it more difficult in correcting and reshaping the negative psychomotor of Youths in Nigeria.
PST. Bright who’s known to be a dogged audacious in defence of the Church and boldness with which he addressed issues affecting youths in Delta and in Nigeria, stressed that there are jobs in the country youths don’t want to work but prefers quick money.
He raised serious concern that very soon Nigeria may lack young people venturing into auto mechanics to repair cars, especially across towns and cities in Niger Delta, the Man of God advised youths to shun quick money and impatience syndrome in order to turn a new life.
The international minister, PST. Bright charged youths go learn handiwork especially those who can’t go to school and be industrious with themselves by being engaged meaningfully and legally.
While acknowledging that parents and some clergies have not really done well, advised youths to be more congruous and shun ‘yahoo yahoo’ also referred to internet fraud, noting that it can’t prosper them if they don’t repent as soon as possible, he prayed for the end of internet fraud, adding that internet fraud isn’t an occupation.
