Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has threatened to deal with all those making “libelous” claims against him on social media.
Osinbajo specifically mentioned popular social media platform, WhatsApp, as one of the medium being used by the people he described as “faceless”.
The Vice President gave the stern warning through his spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a tweet on Wednesday.
There's been a barrage of libelous claims against VP Osinbajo mostly on WhatsApp & elsewhere on Social Media by mostly faceless people. Assuredly, all such claims are false. Where we're able to identify those peddling such evil lies, there 'll be a legal & proper reckoning. Watch

Osinbajo who said such claims were “false”, however, promised to identify all those responsible, and make them face the full wrath of the law.
This comes barely 24 hours after the Vice President threatened Vanguard with libel suit for running a story against him courtesy Timi Frank.
Osinbajo through his counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, is demanding a retraction of the story and well publicized apology within 24 hours.
