Forbes rated billionaire, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu representing Abia North senatorial district has revealed how he became a billionaire at tender age.
Kalu, businessman and a former Abia State Governor made the revelation during a live interview with Arise News Television, on its program; “The Morning Show”.
Senator Kalu said contrary to what people said about him and his alleged fraud case, he was already a billionaire before venturing into politics. He recalled how he ventured into business of selling palm oil during his university days at University of Maiduguri, Borno State.
The businessman said during his days at the University, he used to buy palm oil in the East and sell it in Maiduguri because it was so lucrative because it was not available there. Kalu said he started from Palm oil selling then ventured into furniture, then into importation and other businesses that follows.
The Senate Chief Whip said to him, making money is an art and he mastered it.
