Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation Donates Relief Materials As Flood Engulfed Nkporo Community

Orji Uzor Kalu foundation have come to the cry of the people of Nkporo community in Ohafia LGA of Abia state who were engulfed in a flood.

The flood was caused by the over flowing of the Ironyi river. The Ironyi is a major river that flows from Nkporo community to Ivo river in Ebonyi state down to Abaomega to Cross River then to the Atlantic ocean.

The flood affected Ukwa, Agbaja and Okwoko villages in Nkporo accent kingdom of Ohafia LGA of Abia state. It destroyed their houses and their farmlands.

The foundation term that was led by its executive secretary Rev. Mrs. Jemimah Ola Kalu donated some relief materials like bags of rice, wrappers, noodles etc to the affected village and informed them that Senator Dr. Orji Kalu the chief whip of the senate is already working acidulously with National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to ensure that Federal Government comes to the aid of the affected people.

HRM Eze Patrick O. Ogbuagu, Ezeaja Of Nkporo accent kingdom who spoke on behalf of the traditional rulers and the people of Nkporo accent kingdom thanked Senator Dr. Orji Kalu the chief whip of the senate for coming to the aid of his community in this time of need.

“I want to use this opportunity thank His Excellency Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for coming to our aid now that it matters to us most. I know that this is not just because he is a senator, but because he is a good man.

It can only take a good man to do good to other people. Please tell him to keep up his good work we the people of Nkporo accent kingdom appreciates all that he is doing for our community. My prayer is that that which took him from Abia to Abuja, he will achieve it in Jesus name amen” The Ezeaja expressed.

Other traditional rulers available were Ezeogo Kalu Nkume of Ukwa; Ezeogo Ojukwu Kalu Imo of Agbaja and Ezeogo Kalu Anya Ude of Okwoko.
