Organization to Sponsor Youths in ‘Opportunity Scarce’ Communities to Design Training

A Nigerian NGO – The LiveWell Foundation, which has interest in youth empowerment with focus on ‘opportunity-scarce’ communities across Africa, will sponsor a total of five underprivileged youths living in Rivers State to Design Fellowship by Havilah & Hills.

Announcing this in Port Harcourt, Uche Aniche, the founder of Havilah & Hills said: “The LiveWell Design Fellow Scholars will enjoy 100% tuition free training, access to Laptop, stipend, feeding and world class mentors for 3 months”.

He further said that the Design Fellowship initiative is part of the Havilah & Hills Fellowship program running as a set of capacity training programs that include Web Fellowship, Content Fellowship and Digital Fellowship. The goal is to close gaps between school leavers and in-demand skills needed in the emerging workplace and provide earning opportunity for youths.

It is a 6 months, highly subsidized fee-based program divided into 2 halves of 3 months each. The first 3 months will cover an intensive blend of learning-by-doing and structured hands-on education approaches for selected fellows.

All fellowship programmes will include innovation & design thinking instructions, expert mentoring and presentations. The fellows will have the opportunity to intern at partner companies for hands-on company experience.

They would also be able to earn while still on the programme.

The goal is to assist unemployed youths gain relevant professional and employability skills to accelerate relevant job placement.

Application is on a rolling basis but cohorts will run in monthly circles. Interested applicants should follow the link [bit.ly/h2fellow] and provide required information.
