Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) has revealed that it will immortalised the late Abia Commissioner for environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji.
OYC is a press statement signed by its President General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, described Ogunji’s death as Unfortunate and painful, this is even as the group revealed that Dr Solomon Ogunji, before his death, was a Deputy Secretary General Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
ABACITYBLOG reported that Ogunji was Abia State Chairman on COVID-19. Reacting to Oguji’s death, OYC declares four Market days of mourning in honour of late environment commissioner.
“OYC wishes to Use this opportunity to call on Southeast Governors Forum and Igbos to help his family and relatives give The Deputy Secretary General ohanaeze Ndigbo a befitting Burial and empower his Young Wife and children”, parts of the statement said.
“This is the first time a National Exco Member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo died in office, while rendering service for the igbo Nation. OYC will surely immortalize Dr Solomon Ogunji,by naming our library project after him”.
“OYC Console Governor Okezie ikpeazu over the death of his Childhood friend and Schoolmate, May God grant Dr Okezie ikpeazu and Ogunji’s family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss and grant Dr Solomon Ogunji eternal rest”.
