Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide has cautioned Abia political jobbers and corrupt political elites to desist from heating the polity with the campaigns of calumny and cheap propaganda against the Government of Abia state in a bid to cause chaos and crisis ahead of a smooth transition of power from Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to Governor-Elect Alex Otti, on May 29th, 2023.
A chieftain of the apex-socio cultural group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in a statement said there is an ongoing plot by some people to cause apprehension in the State. The Ohanaeze chieftain called out one Mr Chimezie aka Mezie Abia for what he tagged cyber-bullying and hate speeches, which according to him, the latter is doing to “incite agitators to escalate violence and heighten tensions.”
Parts of the statement read: “We are aware of the activities of miscreants seeking political relevance and attention in the social media platforms, in violation of laws against cyber-bullying and hate speeches, these clique of brats led by one Mr. Chimezie (Aka) Mezie Abia, hiding under the goodwill of OMEGA POWER MINISTRY to wreak havoc, trick and incite agitators to escalate violence and heighten tensions which will breach public peace in Abia with the spread of fake news through his social media platforms”.
“Ndigbo alerts the Abian-born OPM leader and Founder, Apostle Chibuzo Chinyere, to caution one of his church members and one of the students he sponsored abroad by the name Mr. Chimezie aka (Mezie Abia) to stop the incitement of violence, distortion of facts, twisting the narratives by taking advantage of Nnamdi Kanu’s ordeals as tools for his media propaganda through his Facebook account.”
The group said, “He (Mezie Abia) should not diminish the struggle and plight of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, because the Biafra agitators know their enemies and it’s not the duty of Mezie Abia to hide under OMEGA POWER MINISTRY scholarship to form a parallel Biafran group overseas.
“We are aware of the recent sad experiences of OPM which led to the point of shutting down the school his church opened to offer free education in Rivers State and Ndigbo draws the attention of OPM leader Apostle Chibuzo on the nefarious activities of Mezia Abia through his social media platforms and this will continue to paint OPM in a bad light if OPM Leader refuses to caution him,” the statement concluded.
