The people of Umuasua in Isikwuato Local Government Area said that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has set an unbeatable record in their history as the only elected political leader who executed verifiable and meaningful development projects in the community and Abia State at large.
The people stated this when our correspondent visited the community to verify the state of the installation of the street lights projects attracted to the community by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
“We’ve had leaders even from Isikwuato but it is pertinent to state that among those leaders, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu remains the best among our people,” a resident Philip Uche told our correspondent.
Ruth Onyinye, a trader from the community applauded Senator Orji Kalu for attracting a rural road in the community to boost the economic activities of the people.
“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is loved by everyone in this community — the women, youths and even our chiefs are proud of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. When he was elected in 2019, he remembered Umuasua with a rural road that has helped us including boosting the activities of our community.”
Another resident, Chijioke Kelechi maintained that their people are overwhelmed by the senator’s steadfastness and faithfulness to the promise he made to his people.
He disclosed that what Senator Kalu has done for the people of Umuasua is enormous and worthy of commendation by any unbiased mind who is a student of history regarding the neglect the people of the community hitherto suffered in terms of infrastructure since Kalu left as the governor of Abia State.
He said: “Today in Umuasua, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has proven to be the best. You can see the street lights he gave us, he also gave our people in Isikwuato free scholarship to study medicine and surgery abroad, distributed education materials with other empowerments in Isikwuato Local Government Area. No Leader has developed and remembered us like Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
“We are going to give him our total support by re-electing in 2023. Umuasua is in the bag for Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and I also commend our sons who are close to him in one way or the other that are helping to facilitate these projects,” he said.
