Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has filed a lawsuit in the Federal High Court, Abuja against Mr Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed freedom fighter.
Ejiofor’s lawsuit comes a few days after Mr Ekpa had declared five days Sit-at-home in the Southeast region. A declaration which he vowed that those who disobeyed it will be dealt with.
Any part of Biafraland that is not observing the sit at home by this time 9am in Biafraland will hear from Biafrans. The days to sit at home remain 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th & 14th of December 2022. The remaining days of this sit at home will be hot.

In the lawsuit sighted by AbaCityBlog, the legal practitioner who is the sole claimant in the suit, file the case against, the following defendants; Mr Simon Ekpa, a native of Ebonyi State., Anibueze Juliet, Ebonyi State., Obinna Victor Uzoaganaobi, Imo State., Chukwuemeka Livingstone, Abia State and Raphael Chiamaka Ajare, Imo State.
“You are hereby commanded that within thirty (30) days after the service of this
Writ on you, inclusive of the day of such service you do cause an appearance to be entered for you in an action at the suit of Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Esq., and take Notice
that in default, the Claimant may proceed, and judgment may be given in your absence”, part of the court documents reads.

Announcing the suit via his official Twitter page, Ejiofor said he will not release the full details of the case to the public since it’s already in court, but noted that soon, the second batch will be released.
“Today, we formally commenced a legal action before the FCT High Court against Simon Ekpa, which action is founded on a plethora of grave infractions arising from his violent, disturbing and false declarations.”
“I may not release further details here so that it will not prejudice the robust legal actions already lined up for him and his cohorts. It shall be coming in piecemeal. This is the first batch.”
“I also want to assure Simon Ekpa and his cohorts affected by this compelling legal action, that no matter the country you people believe to be presently hiding under its sovereign protection, the full arms of the law shall certainly catch up with you all, in the legal onslaught already commenced. This is just one in the long line of compelling civil and criminal litigations coming your way.
“The hour has come, and I wish to reiterate that you Simon Ekpa cannot escape from the long arms of the law”, Ejiofor tweeted.
