The IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has claimed why the federal government arrested and sent him to prison was for his constant insult on President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kanu, whose family house in Afaraukwu in Umuahia, Abia State was invaded by the Nigerian army on September 2017, said the army was instructed to kill him, hence he escaped. According to him, the army was never sent to arrest him, rather, they were sent to kill him for insulting the President.
“Most people don’t know that one of the MAJOR reasons they arrested & sent the Army to KILL me (#PythonDance) was for INSULTING @MBuhari”, Kanu wrote in twitter.
He wondered why the army will want to kill him for only insulting the President.
“If you show me another country where insulting the President can get you arrested or even KILLED, I will quit calling #Nigeria a Zoo”, the IPOB leader said while reacting to a news of man who was arrested for insulting President Buhari
