Coronavirus cases in Nigeria is gradually edging a total number of 3000 as Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 220 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The new cases was reported late night of 2nd May, 2020 by the commission with about 17 deaths records and no new state reported a case in the last 24hours.
According to NCDC, the total number of covid-19 cases reported in Nigeria is now 2,388, with 385 number of discharged persons and 85 deaths recorded in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory.
Below is how the 220 new cases of covid-19 were made up from 19 states that recorded covid-19 cases.
Two cases previously reported in Katsina were repeat tests.

The 220 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos(62), FCT(52), Kaduna(31), Sokoto(13), Kebbi(10), Yobe (9), Borno(6), Edo(5), Bauchi(5), Gombe(4), Enugu(4), Oyo(4), Zamfara(3), Nasarawa(2), Osun(2), Ebonyi(2), Kwara(2), Kano(2), Plateau(2).
