Nigerian COVID19 research group has announced it has discovered the vaccine for the deadly disease.
This was revealed by the team on Friday 26 June.
According to guardian reports, the vaccine was being developed in Africa but can as well work in other continient.
The leader of the team Dr Oladipo Kolawole, that the vaccine would take minimum of 18-months to be available for public.
He said this is because a lot of analysis and studies, as well as approvals by medical authorities, were still required.
Kolawole said the study, which led to the medical breakthrough, had enjoyed initial funding by the Trinity Immunodeficient Laboratory and Helix Biogen Consult, Ogbomosho, to the tune of about N7.8 million.
