Nigerian U23 Player Kelechi John, has been nominated for a best player Award in Portuguese league.
The Nigerian defender currently plays for Rio Ave, and the 20-year-old will now face competition from 22 other players in Portugal for this award.
There will be voting to select the best player among all these stars which will take place on the website of The Professional Football Players’ Union (SJPF) according to the report on Futaa.
Kelechi is among the Nigerian Under 23 stars who will face Libya in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Kelechi John and his teammates at Rio Ave are currently occupying 10th position on the Primeira Liga standings with 29 points after 25 games.
