Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, has come under heavy online attack following his response to a twitter user who asked him a question.
The Police PRO force headquarters, Abuja, had responded to tweep who asked him why the Nigeria Police Force didn’t arrest those behind an attack on an electorate who came out to vote during the February 25th Presidential election.
AbaCityBlog recalled that Mrs Jennifer Efidi was attacked by political thugs at her polling unit in Lagos, where she came out to perform her civic right by voting her preferred candidate. The attack was condemned by well meaning Nigerians.
However, responding to the question, the Police PRO asked in pigin, “na me beat am? While emphasizing that the question thrown at him was unrelated from what he earlier tweeted about loving women for being “strong electron” and “only insane man will lay his hands on a woman”.
You love and respect our women… yet no one was arrested. Ire o. pic.twitter.com/hrQWjwUBLY

Prince Adejobi’s response didn’t go down well with his followers who queried him for being ‘insensitive’. They reminded him that as a police officer, he should be concerned about the wellbeing of the people he swore to protect.
Reaction trail his comment!

@RespirotaryDafe tweet: “This is someone who swore to serve and protect. Small yansh dey shake oh…” (sic)
@ZeroXjs tweet: LoL. With all due respect Sir, sometimes silence goes a long way in public service
It’s not every tweet/comment you respond to. Silence is golden and can’t be misunderstood.
“Na me beat am” can mean a lot of thing. Not everyone online understands contextual meanings of words
@UnkleAyo said: This is an unfortunately insensitive thing to say.
Before being a policeman, you’re most likely a father, husband, brother or son – does it remotely occur to you that this could have been your daughter, wife, sister or mother?
You’re the PRO for the Nigerian Police Force yet you tweet like a thug. This is why your men steal, rob, kill, maim, extort daily because from the top to the bottom, corruption exists and empathy is void.
I’d have said “you’ll get what’s coming for you” but Karma is a facade.
@Ogbeni_BamBam tweet: “Very Insensitive question from a High Ranked Police officer like you, God Abeg oh 🥴
