A female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, has been beaten and burnt to death for blasphemy today.
According to reports, she was set ablaze for making a blasphemous comment about the Islamic Prophet Mohammed, angered by the comment, Muslims Students descended on her, beat and set her on fire.
Reacting, the management of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto has SHUTDOWN the institution indefinitely, until aftermath of the crisis, as security has been beefed up in the school for fear of escalation.
The letter signed by School management reads:
“Following today’s early morning Students rampage in the College, the College Management has resolved to close down the College indefinitely with immediate effect.
“Consequently, all students are hereby directed to vacate the College campus immediately (12th may, 2022).
