“Sometimes, some of the tyres give me idea of what I want to work for. There is a crocodile I did, the back of the tyre, the texture reminded me of a crocodile.”
“I’ve been working on animals figures and I’m trying to deviate a little bit into human figures,” Ernest told BBC.
He added that he want his art to go beyond Nigeria and Africa.
“In the next two, three years, I want my art, not just Nigeria and Africa but I wish to do international exhibitions and more open doors.”
"They call it trash – but I see it as raw materials."
