Benjamin Mendy, Manchester City‘s player, today appeared in court over 4 counts charges of sexual attacks, including an alleged assault he committed “a few days ago.”
The 27 year-old left back faces four counts of rape and one of sexual assault after being arrested at his £5m home, police confirmed.
He arrived at court in a prison van with a police escort this morning.
According to Police Detectives, victims of Mendy’s sexual attacks are all over the age of 16 – and the incidents alleged to have taken place between October last year and this month.
The footballer who earns £90,000 a week, has been suspended by his club pending an investigation.
Thesun UK reports that the French international was arrested last year November at his £5million home in Prestbury, Cheshire. He was then released pending further investigation.
Mendy who faces another rape charge from the last seven days – when he was still on police bail – is also accused of sexually assaulting a female in January at his home.
He appeared before Chester magistrates’ court today for breaking bail conditions this week.
