The man whose picture went viral following a Facebook post shared online by a page named AIT Nigeria News, has finally speaks out.
The post published by AIT, which the main AIT has denied of having knowledge of, alleged that the man in the picture has been on the run over the news of an Italian man who tested positive to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the page, the man allegedly drove the Italian man from the Lagos airport to Ogun State.
The Facebook post, however, added that on hearing the news of that the Italian man tested positive, the driver has vowed to spread the virus across the country if the federal government failed to pay the sum of N100 million to his family.
The post, as per my check, yesterday gathered thousands of likes and shares, as many have started forwarding it via whatsapp.
Below is the screenshot of the story forwarded to a whatsapp group.
Meanwhile, debunking the news, the man has appeared on a video shared online. Stating that he is an indigent of Edo State and has not been to Lagos for the past 2 years. He wondered why people will use his picture to put up such heavy lies.
The man who identified himself as Jude, has pleaded with Nigerians to make the video go viral.
