The National Industrial Court has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to call off the ongoing Strike.
This order comes a few hours after the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) threatened not to allow any political campaign hold across the country till students of public universities return to classrooms.
Recall that the strike is in its seventh month an action embarked on by public university lecturers across the country.
ASUU and the Buhari-led government have been at loggerheads over poor funding of universities and the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, a platform on which the government said all lecturers must be registered or they would not be paid salaries.
The disagreement between both parties has led to the closure of all government universities for the last eight months.
More details shortly.
