The indigenes and voters of Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A. of Abia state have extolled the qualities of the state’s governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, describing him as a young, vibrant man with the requisite experience to govern Abia state from 2023, while drumming support for him.
At the various communities the APP governorship candidate visited yesterday for his ward round tour across the ten INEC wards of the L.G.A., they expressed their readiness to vote for him because of the innate leadership qualities, youthfulness, and experience he has demonstrated.
An elder statesman at ward 6 and former PDP Chairman of the ward, Elder Thompson Ubani, said, “Since I started listening to you on the radio [Mascot Uzor Kalu], I understood you have good plans for Abia. From then on, I started having an interest in you.”
“You are young and experienced, having served as a Chief of Staff. And you also understand the problems of Abia State and how to fix them,” Elder Ubani added.
Similarly, in his remark, Chief Azubugwu, the village head of the Nneoyi community in Ward 3, assured Chief Kalu that his people would vote for APP, adding that since the governorship race started, no candidate has visited the community to interact with them.
Addressing the people at their various wards, the APP governorship candidate, in the company of his running mate, Prof. Osondu Akom, and the APP’s candidate for Isiala Ngwa South State House of Assembly Constituency, Miriam Ohuoba, promised to deploy his youthfulness and experience to work tirelessly for the people, adding that he would be the workaholic governor that Abia needs.
The other INEC wards of Isiala Ngwa South that the APP campaign train visited included Wards 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
