Usman Dalhatu, a 200Level Student Of Mechanical Engr. Abu Zaria
Has manufactured a street sweeping machine, Dalhatu, in a social media post revealed that it took him almost five years to create a digital sweeping machine (industrial vacuum cleaner) after his first production which look odd comparing to his new modern production.
Dalhatu in an interview with ABACITYBLOG said he planned for mass production of the product but lack of finance is one of his major problems and also lack of technical support.
Right now, he planned to sell it to Private sectors and including the government but did not revealed the cost, although, he made his contact available for potential buyers.
When asked about the materials he used for the production, Dalhatu said the materials are 100% locally sourced in Nigeria.
Before now, Nigeria has been known as a country blessed with vast knowledge of individuals but sometimes all they need is an enable environment to thrive.
Not waiting for the government, Dalhatu proved that sometimes, you need not to give up on dreams.
Street Sweeper or Street Cleaner isn’t a new invention, research showed that the First ones appeared in the 19th century in Manchester, England, by Joseph Whitworth. However, Today, many big cities use machine while other still use human street sweepers.
That is a story Dalhatu wants to rewrite with his modern street sweeper which he called “Beyond Clean”, He plans to mass produce it and also he envisioned to see himself as CEO of multi-billion dollar company with through his products.
