Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has sworn-in a new Commissioner for Industry and Promotions, Barr. Akujuobi Nkoro with a charge to the new Commissioner to add value to the administration.
Speaking while performing the swearing-in ceremony and inauguration of the Commissioner, Governor Ikpeazu charged him to acquit himself well and work assiduously with the administration and contribute to the development of the State.
Governor Ikpeazu disclosed that the Ministry of Industry and Promotions has two major industries, ENASCO and Enyimba Garment factory, disclosing that soonest the Garment factory would be completed and commissioned. He said the equipment made for the garment industry have been procured and informed that when completed, the Enyimba Garment factory will provide employment for over 500 persons working on two shifts on the commissioning day.
The oaths of office and allegiance were administered on the Commisioner by the Solicitor General of the State ,Lady Uzoamaka Ikonne , who was representated by the Director of Civil Litigations in the Ministry of Justice, Barr. Uche Ogubunka.
Responding, the new Commissioner for Industry and Promotions, Barr. Akujuobi Nkoro said it is a familiar terrain and assured that he would make him and the State proud. He thanked the Governor for the privilege said the Governor would finish strong.
Deputy Governor Sir Ude Oko and other top officials of the State Government were present at the event.
