Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has condoled the Ogbulafor family over the death of the former National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor who died recently.
Governor Ikpeazu who was speaking last night when he paid a condolence visit to the family in Olokoro, Umuahia South LGA, described the deceased as the father of PDP in Abia State who served as National Chairman and Secretary of the party creditably.
The Governor, who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, also described the late Prince Vincent Ogbulafor as an Iroko, leader and a Royal personality who dined and wined with Kings and Queens.
Governor Ikpeazu who took time to explain his personal relationship with the late Political icon,said that the contributions of the late Prince Vincent Ogbulafor towards his emergence as Governor in 2015 and the struggles that followed can not be forgotten in a hurry.
The Governor said that the late Prince Vincent Ogbulafor was steadfast and stood by his Government untill his death, pointing out that the people of Olokoro, Abians and Nigeria at large have lost a towering personality and a huge gift to humanity.
He prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and promised that Abia State Government will give him a state burial befitting his status.
He assured the widow of the Late Prince Ogbulafor that God will not abandon her.
Responding on behalf of the family,Chief Okezie Ogbulafor who said that the demise of late Prince Vincent Ogbulafor has created a big vacuum in their lives, thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his entourage for coming to identify with the family.
The Governor later signed the Condolence Register.
Secretary to Government, Barrister Chris Ezem, Commissioner for Information Dr Eze Chikamnayo among other stakeholders were present during the visit.
