Four Super Eagles players have been shortlisted for the 2019 FIFPro/CAF Africa Best XI. They are Odion Ighalo, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Francis Uzoho.
Their selection comes on the back of their outstanding performances for their country and different clubs.
Ighalo, who had an impressive outing at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, won the golden boot as the highest goal scorer with five goals.
He also helped Nigeria win their eighth bronze medal at the African showpiece in Egypt in the summer.
Ndidi, who ply his trade with Leicester city, did not only have a great performance for club and country but was adjudged the best 2018/19 English Premier League tackler.
Everton’s Alex Iwobi and Francis Uzoho, AC Omonia goalkeeper, are the two other Nigerian players that made the list.
