Ibe Okwara Osonwa was the candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal constituency of Abia State at the 2019 general elctions. He was born in London on the 24th of December 1974 into the family of Chief Okwara Osonwa Okwara & Chief Mrs Grace Okwara.
He attended Federal Government College Okigwe, North London College, University of North London where he graduated with two degrees in Accounting and International Business.
After his NYSC programme in Lagos State, he advanced his working career into the Financial Sector. Ibe Okwara was an Advisory Analyst with Bromley Asset Management where he actively worked in the set of the first mobile network in Nigeria (Econet). Having worked in the financial sector for a number of years he went on to secure qualifications as an SAP FICO consultant and set up his own private consultancy providing financial sector clients such as Deutshce Bank, ABSA Bank, LeasePlan, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers ERP consultancy. His consultancy has delivered quality advice and solutions across other sectors such as telecommunications, oil & gas, media, manufacturing, business management and construction.
In 2016, Ibe Okwara became a co-founder of People’s Grassroot Social Equality And Development Initiative Nigeria, (PSGEDI), an initiative for the Nigerian youth that seeks to provide charitable donations to the society. He is a founding member of Peoples Equity Movement a political movement for young Nigerian seeking an equal voice in the Nigerian political discussion.
His vision is to effectively serve the people and consequently provide them a better quality of life. A comprehensive delineation of how he intends to foster the policies that will truly precipitate positive change for his constituents locally, and those of the federation of Nigeria at large are outlined in the policy manifesto document with outlined points such as; support scheme for the widow and aged, Employment opportunities and empowerment for the youth, infrastructural facilities development for public schools & hospitals, interest free-loan for traders, sports development, regular consultation cum interaction with constituents and adequate representation and support for all developmental bills at the National assembly.
He is a very passionate Nigerian advocate who believes in the empowerment of the vibrant youth. Ibe Okwara is happily married to Abosede Okwara and they are blessed with three children.
