It’s no longer new that Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu‘s free education scheme during his tenure as Abia governor between 1999-2007, gave lots of Abia Youths the opportunity to attain education.
One of the beneficiaries of the Dr. Kalu’s free education is an Abia billionaire businessman, Nwanta Anayoeze. According to him, the free education scheme helped him acquire WAEC and HND certificates.
The CEO of Nwanta Anayoeze Oil and Gas Limited made the above statement when he hosted Senator Orji Kalu at his home in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
Hosting the Abia North senator, Nwanta Anayoeze thanked him for the gesture which he said helped him to become successful in life.
The oil tycoon further revealed that immediately after his WAEC, he secured a job at 7up Bottling Company while taking advantage of the free education declared by now Abia North Senator, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu to further his education at Abia State Polytechnic Aba where he acquired his HND and later travelled abroad.
ABNTV reports that Nwanta Anayoeze who was visibly happy to host Senator Kalu expressed gratitude to the former Abia governor for all his efforts in touching humanity.
He also applauded Sen. Kalu’s humility and simplicity.
He said;
“It is an honor for me and my family to share a table with you and to bother your Excellency with the worries of the teaming youths of my Federal Constituency.
“As a two time governor and now a Senator, you have my respect and on this premise, I visited your home and in return, you did me an honor by Coming with your Entourage.
“We are very grateful to host you, and wish to do it more often as things progresses. Thank you Emetumba ahu dike na mba ukwu.
Meanwhile, Two members of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chijioke Chukwu of Bende North and Hon Mike Ukoha of Arochukwu were also present at the event.
