Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the official spokesperson of the House and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, has been appointed into the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the national APC caucus in the House of Representatives.
Speaking on the appointment, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House and leader of the national APC caucus in the House, said that Hon. Kalu is most deserving the appointment into the highest decision making body of the party.
He expressed confidence that Hon. Kalu would be the ears, eyes and ambassador of the House of Representatives, not only for the south east members but for all members at large.
He went on to say,
“I congratulate Hon. Benjamin Kalu for being a good ambassador of the Federal House of Representatives, while charging him to always remember that the party is supreme and to always work with other NEC members to project the party from where it is now to where it ought to be.”
When we tried to reach Hon. Kalu, he offered to speak to us after the NEC meeting today.
