Another police station located at Ekori community in Yahuu local government area of Cross River State, has been attacked by unknown Gunmen.
An eyewitness alleged that the gunmen carted away AK 47 after beating up policemen on duty.
“The hoodlums invaded the Police Station located at Ekori community of Yakurr with heavy weapons and attacked the officers,” the witness alleged.
According to him, the hoodlums scared away the officers on duty, beat one to stupor and made away with the AK-47 rifle of the policeman.
The officers at the attacked station was now asked to move to Ugep Divisional Police, at the local government headquarters as a result of the attack.
This is the third time that officers of the Nigeria Police Force have suffered attacks within two months in Cross River State.
