The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano have granted reprieve to prisoners in the state, ABS reports.
The reprieve is extended to prisoners serving various prison sentences In Anambra State.
Obiano’s reprieve grants maybe unconnected to the attacks on various police facilities across the Southeastern region by unknown gunmen.
However, the order is coming few days after some unknown gunmen attacked Imo Correctional service center, setting ablaze police vehicles and freeing prisoners.
