The Foundation For Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD), has requested the Abia State government to furnish the organisation with the detailed information of list of the procurement Activities made from 2017 -2019 for the Execution of the Erosion Projects as been captured in the NEWMAP Budget and Ecological Funds for the State.
FENRAD in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor, said with the Provision of the Freedom of information Act which entitled the organization a Rights to Request for or gain information from Government institution, hence they request the information from the Abia State government to be made available.
“We write on Behalf of our organization in compliance with the provision of Section 1 of the freedom of information Act 2011 and part V, Section 19(b) of the Public Procurement Act 2007”, says parts of the statement.
FENRAD however, list below details of what they are Requesting from the government..
1. Details of the Procurement made during this Period.
2. Vendors used in the procurement process and Details of the Bidding process.
3. Details of the contractors who executed the Projects.
4. Details of the Executed Projects/location of the projects
5. Amount Budgeted and the Process of the Disbursement
