The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, have reacted over a trending video of a female police officer, Inspector Olorunsogo Bamidele, serving at Osun State Command, attached to Ode-omu Divisional Headquarters, where she accused her senior colleague, DCO ASP Ajayi Matthew.
In the video, Inspector Bamidele was seen showing the bruises on her body being inflicted by ASP Ajayi of Ode-omu divisional headquarters over her refusal to date him.
She alleged that ASP Ajayi firstly, blackmailed her that they were dating and went ahead and brutalize her after she him that she is a married woman and cannot date him.
“ASP Ajayi wants to kill me ooo, because I refused to befriend him. I told him I’m a married woman and cannot date him”, Inspector Bamidele said in the video.

Reacting, the inspector general of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, in a statement signed by Muyiwa Adejobi, Force PRO, FHQ Abuja, ordered the Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olaleye Faleye, to investigate the assualt on Inspector Bamidele.
The IGP further noted that justice will be done in the case, to protect the core values and ethics of the Nigeria Police Force.

ASSAULT: IGP ORDERS CP OSUN TO INVESTIGATE ASSAULT ON WOMAN INSPECTOR BAMIDELE
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc+, NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Osun State, CP Olaleye Faleye, to investigate the alleged assault on woman Inspector Olorunsogo Bamidele by her DCO in Ode Omu Osun State.
We will await the report of the investigation from Osun State Police Command before necessary actions are taken. However we assure the general public that justice will be done in the case, to protect the core values and ethics of the NPF.
