The Members of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, today staged a wide agitation over the disappearance of their Spiritual Director Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka.
Mbaka’s disappearance came barely a few days after he asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over his inability to curtail rising insecurity in Nigeria.
In the viral video, Mbaka was heard calling on the President to resign, citing that if it’s in a saner clime, the President would have honourably resign.
The statement met a reaction by the Presidency who accused Mbaka of coming after the President because his contract offer was turned down.
Mbaka, reacting to the Presidency allegation said they’re shameless for making such allegation.
However, barely a few days after his statement, Mbaka was declared missing since Tuesday, May 4. According to reports, he was last seen after honouring an invitation by the Bishop of Enugu last night.
Following Mbaka’s sudden disappearance, protests erupted in Enugu, by the members of his Adoration Ministry. They demanded to see their spiritual director, expressing fear that he might have been kidnapped by DSS or Unknown Gunmen.
However, the DSS said the fiery priest is not in their custody. “Rev Father Mbaka is not with the DSS. The DSS did not pick him up”- says Peter Afunaya the DSS spokesman.
But in what could be described a fruitful protest, Mbaka was found. But the fearless priest is yet to tell his story of his whereabouts over 24hrs ago which caused panic among his followers.
