The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the news of two hotel demolished in Rivers State.
The hotel demolition was ordered by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who cited that the hotels violated the Covid-19 executive order which was allegedly made public by the Rivers State Government.
According to Wike’s Covid-19 executive order, any Hotel, Vehicle, etc, found in violation of the order will be dealt with, this, according to reports was why the two hotel was demolished and the owners was declared wanted.
The news of the hotel demolition has been greeted with condemnation and applause by Nigerians. While some disagreed with Gov Wike’s action, some applauded him.
Reacting to Wike’s action, FFK as fondly called said he is “utterly amazed” by Wike’s action.
“Two hotels demolished in Port Harcourt because they violated the Governor’s executive order on Covid 19?
“The Governor did not see fit to simply close down the hotels and arrest the culprits but instead he KNOCKED them both down?
“I am utterly amazed!, FFK wrote on Twitter.
