Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has showered praise on the senator representing Abia South in the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe over his recent statement on the State of the Nation.
Kayode was reacting following Abaribe’s call that President Muhammadu Buhari should resign in what he regards as the inability of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government to address the security challenges in the country.
Abaribe, stated this on Wednesday on the floor of the Senate during a debate on insecurity in the country.
He said: “Nigeria didn’t elect the IGP. We didn’t elect other service chiefs. We elected the APC government in 2015. We are asking this government to resign because it can no longer perform its role.”
Reacting over the lawmaker’s call, Fani-Kayode commended Abaribe for having such courage to call for the President resignation.
“I commend my friend, brother & in-law, Sen. Abaribe, for having the courage to call for the resignation of President Buhari. A President that refuses to protect his people from killer herdsmen & bloodthirsty terrorists ought to not only resign but also bury his head in shame”, Kayode wrote on twitter.
