The traditional head of Ngwa Land, His Eminence, Eze Dr. Benard Onyenguzo Enweremmadu, Ezeukwu of Ngwaukwu, is dead.
Enweremadu’s death was announced in a press release by his family at his residence on Saturday, by the crown prince, Rt. Hon. Prince C.O. Enweremmadu.
According to the press release, Eze Enweremmadu died on January 17, 2021. He was aged 77.
Late Eze Enweremmadu was a former chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional rulers.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Prince C.O. Enweremmadu said their late father made some remarkable statements few months before his death.
He said: “On 23rd of October 2020, Ezeukwu made some remarkable statements and if we had foresight, we would have seen this coming.
According to the crown Prince, their late father the King, said, “this is a remarkable year”.
He however, noted that At the age of 33, their late father became the Ezeukwu of Ukwu, on that same day, he marked 77 years on earth.
“A few days before then, he also marked his forty-fourt year on the throne of Ukwu. I think that the man has ran his race, and he ran a very good race.”
“He ran a race worthy of emulation and as his children, we are determined to keep that touch flowing.” Prince C.O Enweremmadu added.
