Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide had described it as a feat for Nigeria and India, as it’s confirmed that Over 200 Nigerians is ready for Evacuation from India to Nigeria on Thursday 4th June 2020, on the First historic Direct Flight which will strengthen the strong ties between the two countries for 58 years.
OYC in a statement signed by its Deputy President General, Comrade Obinna Achionye, laud the Collaborative efforts of Nigeria High Commission Under H. E, Ambassador, Major General Chris Ezeh Rtd and Airpeace Nigeria for the evacuation of Nigerians mainly Igbos.
“We appreciate the role played by the leadership of All Nigerian Students and Community Association members especially the President, Comrade Solomon ikere who tirelessly worked under the influence of Ambassador Ezeh to ensure stranded Nigerians depart New Delhi India to Lagos Nigeria.
“More thanks to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyema and Southeast Governors Forum led Gov Umahi for helping stranded Nigerians. Safe Journey”, the statement said.
