The Nigerian Army says the Lagos state government invited it to intervene in the fallout of the #EndSARS protest, TheCable reports.
The statement comes weeks after the military has denied involvement in the shooting of peaceful protesters at Lekki Tollgate on the eve of 20th October, 2020. An incidents which has been trailed by condemnation from Nigerians and international community.
The army via its twitter handle has described reports of its involvement as false.

Likewise, the Lagos State governor, Babajide San-wolu during a live broadcast said forces above his control led to the shooting of peaceful protesters.
However, recent development published by TheCable.ng has it that the military has agreed, noting that it’s the Lagos State government that invited them.
