It is unfortunate that some axis in the Federal capital territory and parts of the nation, for some days had suffered lockdown and retarded ease of economic duties by protesters of the #ENDSARS.

As a youth, knowing the steps taken by the government to have disband SARS and the recent announcement of SWAT for SARS replacement, the stage of grounds by the youths, calls for proper address by Mr President.

One thing experienced with this protest, a no violence spirit other than that, agitated for. My approach to them at Wuse Begger gave a better insight to the feelings that led to this very struggles.

Majority of them I interacted with, had ugly encounters to be alive to tell the stories. Many are in anger for they’ve lost their loved once. Some with the opinion the SARS should be sent to ends of the north to fight terrorism (attested to by the northern governors) while another said they’re monsters among sheeps and could be attached to the newly named SWAT.

This Police reform is necessary for a better Nigeria. It’s commendable so far, the steps taken by the government in a democratic process, government of the people for the people and by the people.

However on these issues, Mr President would have to sit-up, listen more and respond practically to these voices. I have strong believe Mr President Muhammadu Buhari is sleepless as not to pursue shadows while his house is on fire.

They will not stop, I saw it in them as I reminded them of the disband SARS by the IGP, the visit of Davido to the IGP as recorded by the Channels TV that explained the processes and readiness of the government in words on the Police reforms. They knocked me off, saying, some people wanted to hijack the protest. Could there be factions already to this very protest?

Not withstanding the efforts put so far in the course to #EndSARS, we must also put in mind in all good continence the NCDC guidelines on Covid – 19 that would keep for fourteen (14) days, any expertise of possible deployments to aid the training or rather, the reforms agitated for.

Are we going to hold that long on the streets leaving our jobs at this economic down times? That indeed would be good price or sacrifices to our nation, moreover, the youths as authors of brilliance, to sheild their swords when necessary, if not under influence, to give the government ultimatum to see the resolves implemented.

In the justification of peace in unison to a just course centered on purpose, the end point is most historic, if free from hitches like casualties and lost of lives and property.

The combination of #EndSARS protesters, the procession of the Shi’a Islamic group and the saga of hoodlums to this peaceful protest would not be good news to the nation in the Federal territory if by chance they met or conflict.

Now, the government knows how strong we are (the youths), this history keeps a better stories in memories for years to come. The rise of the youths to better the nation, is worth a fight.

In every nation, security is the top most to the relative peace of the society. When a unit of these security outfits pose threat to lives of those to be protected, the need to change the curve is absolute for the nation.

In doing this, putting into consideration the state of the world economic and pandemic struggles, we must be rational. We should allow the government hang themselves by their words by taking the shortest time they request of the protesters, of which, if they failed, we always have a way to holding our grounds.
