Twitter influencer has opined that anyone earning below ₦20,000 per month does not qualified to be in a relationship or think about going into one.

The twitter user with handle @EdoFirstLady said those earning below 20k per month are never qualified and should bury the plan to engage in any relationship. According to her, such idea of keeping one can ruined their lives.

In a twitter post, she stated that relationship requires lots of commitment which involve finance.

She said; “First of all, if you’re earning 20k per month I don’t think you have any business thinking about relationships or even going on dates. None at all for any reason!

Here’s my point

“I’m saying that people have personal responsibilities and this includes family bills and all of that and relationships as much as we try to deny it comes with a whole lot of commitments and sacrifices which of course includes finance.

Which is important

“Now imagine earning that and having to juggle in between these responsibilities and your relationship. It will never really turn out to be how you sincerely want it

But hey, this thing doesn’t have a manual, so it’s okay to do you!

And this is for both gender.

First of all, if you’re earning 20k per month I don’t think you have any business thinking about relationships or even going on dates. None at all for any reason!

However, her post has raised lots of buzz as twitter users responded and made their own view. While few people concur with her opinion, other said otherwise.

Check out some reactions below extracted by Abacityblog.com:

@Dehkunle wrote: “there’s life outside of twitter and y’all always forget that not everyone lives in lagos ,Abuja and the rest ffs I grew up with peers whose parents were mostly teachers and civil servants earning less than 30k monthly and they feed the family and even build house over the years.”

@PeterROCK_ wrote: “I think someone earning 20k can go on dates. Dates should be planned. Something he can save up for. People earn 20k deserve affection till they can earn better.”

@thesoftprince said: “I totally dis-agree with this. Love is totally different from money, not here in Nigeria sha.”

@solutiontweeted said: “Someone earning 20K can be in a relationship and be happy. Cos on a normal the woman too suppose dey earn, let them spoil each other with the little they both have and be happy but Nigerian women won’t do this. They’ll have 300K in their account and still ask you for sub.”
