The Abia State Chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC, has described the anti-Kalu protesters as hired clowns who were in Abuja to showcase their wasted rehearsals.
APC in a statement signed by the state party publicity secretary, Comrade Benedict C. Godson, said protesters “deserve award for showcasing the most absurd comedy of the century”.
It could be recalled that some protesters barricaded the National Assembly complex yesterday demanding the seat of Senator Orji Kalu to be declared vacant. The protest happened same day the Court sitting in Lagos gave a fresh order to release Kalu from prison.
Below is the reactions of the Abia APC…
“The drama by some hired clowns who were in Abuja to showcase their wasted rehearsals to demand that Abia North Senatorial seat be declared vacant was really a good comic relief for us as we were celebrating the deserved freedom of our leader Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu on Tuesday.
“Honestly, the script writers and the actors deserve award for showcasing the most absurd comedy of the century.
“Their comic petition and ridiculous demand created grotesque effects on all of them as they caricatured themselves beyond recognition.
“As humorous and comic as that move proved to be, we must say clearly that it is really a shameful one and handwork of desperate former opposition senator that does not know how serious issues of governance and law are handled.
“The opposition were actually expecting something different yesterday, so they went round Abuja, hired some miscreants and saps, baptized them with a humorous name and gave them poorly written kindergarten petition to read.
“To their shame and to the victory and joy of the good people of Abia State, our leader, the Chief Whip of Nigeria Senate and of course, Abia North Senator has the mandate of his people and will continue to represent his zone.
“The only iota of truth in what they said is that Abians and of course the entire nation miss the voice of our great leader which they’ll be hearing henceforth. That active voice that needs no introduction is back and will continue to speak for the betterment of Abia North and for the unity of Nigeria.
“The miscreants took their paymaster to the cleaners and eulogized the President Muhammadu Buhari led FG when they said that the zone is in dire need of Federal Government presence because of ecological disasters, especially erosion and landslide.
“From the above assertion, they opened up to everyone that the previous senators failed woefully to attract the presence of Federal Government to the ecological disasters, especially erosion and landslide ravaging the zone.
“They also ended up telling the truth that it’s only the President Mohammadu Buhari led Federal Government that will show serious concern to the ecological disasters in the zone just as this same administration has been showing elsewhere.
“However, when you think they’re making sense from that blatant balderdash they called petition, they demanded that the seat occupied by the man whom his people sent to Abuja and trusted to bring that same Federal Government presence should be declared vacant. What an anti people demand! What a shambolic contradiction.
“One thing we know and it’s definite in our hearts is that those miscreants aren’t from Abia State not to talk of being Abia North people living in Abuja. They also couldn’t have come from far away Abia during this COVID-19 period because we know there’s a restriction on interstate movements.
“We know very well that they were miscreants and saps hired by a former Senator from the opposition to act a terribly written comic script, but Nigerians have all seen how empty, hollow and shallow their reasoning are.
“Whom God has blessed no man can curse. Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu is a blessed man. His people love him. He’s a free man by the law of our land to continue his service to his constituents and the entire Nigeria.
“We advise the man and the people responsible for the drama yesterday to kindly open a theatre where they’ll be presenting their assorted comic dramas with their numerous clowns and comedians to the pleasure of their audience.
“It will surely pay them very well and make their pockets fater rather than wasting their dramatic and humorous talents in performing fruitless absurd comedy in a very wrong place for a very wrong reason.
