Afrobeat star, David Adeleke popularly known by his stage name Davido, has once again celebrated his Uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke as he received his certificate of return.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, today issued a certificate of return to the Governor-elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Senator Adeleke, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had won the governorship election of Osun State, held on Saturday, 16th of July, 2022.
Adeleke beat Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, with 402,979 votes to 375,077 votes.
Celebrating Ademola’s victory, Davido said the Adeleke’s put their family name on the line, adding that he also put his career on the line, which according to him, they believed in God and came out victorious.
“It’s been a long battle fought !! We put our Family name on the line , I put my career on the line ! But we had faith!! This was God testing us if we really believed in him !! I feel victorious! Congrats ! Your excellency @AAdeleke_01 ! As for me it’s back to the studio! 🔊🌏❤️🤞🏾,” The singer wrote on his verified twitter page.
