Cristiano Ronaldo who returned to his former club, Manchester United today joined the club’s training session.
The playmaker was released from international duty early following his suspension for Portugal’s clash with Azerbaijan tonight.
His return to Manchester will enable him to spend some time familiarising himself with his old training base once again. However, instead of Sir Alex Ferguson, this time Ronaldo was answering to former team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to Thesun UK, the two had a private chat together, before Ronaldo was introduced to his new team-mates.
United shared a clip on TikTok of the Portuguese legend walking out onto the training pitches with Juan Mata.
While there has been rumours that CR7 would make his United return during Saturday’s Premier League clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford, SunSport reported otherwise, according the publication, fans may have to wait until next Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Swiss side Young Boys to see Ronaldo from the start.
“Ronaldo trained at Carrington today but he won’t be able to join in with the majority of his new team-mates until Friday when they return from international duty”, the platform said.
