The Federal High Court, Abuja, yesterday, in a surprise ruling, sacked Edozie Njoku, whom the Supreme Court recently affirmed as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
The High Court, however, in sacking of Njoku, affirmed Victor Oye as legitimate National Chairman of APGA.
Justice James Omotoso, in his judgment, held that by judgments of the Federal High Court, Court of Appeal and, later, Supreme Court, it was clear that Oye is the legitimate National Chairman of the party.
Justice Omotoso held that Njoku was a meddlesome interloper in the suit seeking to reap where he did not sow.
The court condemned the action of a legal practitioner, C.N Nwagwu, for deliberately misleading the court, and for causing unnecessary confusion that wasted the court’s time.
Justice Omotoso said that Nwagwu failed to act as minister in the temple of justice, adding that his conduct was unbecoming of a lawyer of his status.
