Comrade Benedict Godson, Deputy Chairman Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta, have joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abia State chapter led by Chief Ikechi Emenike.
AbaCityBlog recall that the APC in Abia has been experiencing leadership tussle as the political party has allegedly been divided into factions.
Comrade Godson, before he joined the Ikechi Emenike’s structure is currently the Publicity secretary of the Abia APC under the leadership of Chief Donatus Nwankpa’s led faction.
Making the announcement in a press release signed by the party chieftains, Comrade Benedict Godson, Chief Obi Aham, Umunneocha LGA and Barr. Menyechi Onuoha, Isiala Ngwa North LGA – said they joined Ikechi Emenike’s structure because they “believe that APC in Abia State is united and stronger under his (Emenike’s) leadership.”
They said they are happy with the decision and stand by it and know that it is the correct decision for anyone who wants the progress of “our” party should take.
The statement read;
“This is to inform all Nigerians, Abians, friends and well-wishers that we, Comrade Benedict Godson, Chief Obi Aham and Barr. Menyechi Onuoha has decided to join and work for our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of High Chief Ikechi Emenike.
“Also, We want to use this medium to state clearly that We believe that APC in Abia State is united and stronger under the leadership of High Chief Ikechi Emenike and we hereby use this medium to officially announce our loyalty and dedication to this one and only APC, Abia State chapter.
“Note that any other announcement, report or statement that goes contrary to the information here should be disregarded. We are happy with my decision and We stand by it and We know it is the correct decision for anyone who wants the progress of our party should take.
