President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at Haneda Airport in Yokohama, Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
The conference themed ‘Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future’, will take place in the city of Yokohama from August 28 till August 30, 2019.
President Buhari is expected to drive for few minutes before he arrives at the Park Royal Hotel reserved for Heads of state and government attending the conference.
The President went with with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and Nigerian Ambassador to Japan Amb. Mohammed Gana Yisa.
The meeting is expected to focus on Africa’s “economic transformation and improvements in business environment and institution through private investment and innovation; promotion of resilient and sustainable African society for human security; and peace and stability in support of Africa’s domestic proactive efforts.
