The team of the Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has pulled out of the campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Wike and Atiku has been in loggerhead since the PDP presidential primaries which produced Atiku as the party’s flagbearer.
The Rivers State governor had called for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, citing that the National Chairmanships should be zone to the South. A call which has been raising so much dust in the main opposition party.
However, rising from their meeting in Port Harcourt early morning on Wednesday, members of the team vowed not to partake in Atiku’s campaign activities pending the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
