Prof George Obiozor, has emerged President General of the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, ThePunch reports.
Obiozor, a former Nigerian ambassador to the United States, Israel, and Cyprus, emerged in an election held at Dan Anyim stadium in Owerri, the Imo state capital, on Sunday.
This is as other candidates for the position of the President General boycotted the election.
The Board of Trustee member representing Rivers State at Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Jackson Omenazu, who spoke to newsmen at the venue of the election, declared the process that brought Obiozor to power as fraudulent.
